Development update, new concepts and game progress.

This is a really fun part of the development process. The prototype is progressing - we have most of the core components for the Siege battles in and as the developers finalize many of the remaining mechanics, we have started the process of replacing many of the placeholder assets with the real thing. This week we hired a new concept artist, Shahab, who is doing an amazing job establishing the look and feel of the Ironfist structures. I really don't think I could be more excited. If you are following our progress, you have seen some of the bridges and platforms that lead to the Ironfist Stronghold entrance. All of those placeholder assets will be gone in the next few weeks and this is what you have to look forward to:

In the prototype, the Tower system is nearly complete and now we are adding a system of upgradeable barricades that can be placed strategically around the map. The final stage works as both a barricade and a trap - enemies attacking the barricade will be met with a spear projectile every 10 seconds that will extend then retract. Every faction will have their own unique towers, traps and barricades.

Our VFX artist, Summer, is hard at work making the Stone Colossus statue transformation look epic. In your capital city territory, you can build a titan statue over time. As you progress through a battle, you can choose to spend gold and nora upgrading your statue. This is a long-term building project players will have during a battle, but the results will be quite impressive once he is stomping on your enemies.

As you can see, there are 4 visual stages to the creation of they stone colossus. After stage 3, you will need to have your workers finalize and empower the stone colossus. Once that is complete...

This is a work-in-progress. Will be adding additional effects, dust, etc. Will update again in the next few weeks as things get added to the prototype.
